Endowment

Make A Gift

A firmly established endowment will ensure the long-term viability and financial stability of the school. Endowment funds enable donors to establish a legacy at Brandeis Hillel that will forever influence the life of the school while impacting our students and the quality of their education each day. Gifts to the endowment are invested conservatively, providing annual income from interest while preserving the corpus. Income from the endowment supports staff development, tuition assistance, programming advances and facility maintenance.

As of November 2006, the Brandeis Hillel has $9.4 million invested in cash and $1.1 million in pledges for a total of $10.5 million in its endpoint. Our goal is to raise an additional $10 million for the Brandeis Hillel Endowment.

The following list provides the designation areas, the financial needs, and the minimum funding levels to establish a restricted named endowed fund. Donors can establish a named fund by making a commitment to meet the minimum funding level over a five-year period.

Tauber Endowment Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 as a permanent endowment through the generosity of Dr. Ingrid Tauber. The fund honors the memory of her father, Laszlo N. Tauber, who understood that education is the corner stone of Jewish identity and community. The Tauber Fund for Financial Assistance helps children in need gain access to Brandeis Hillel Day School.
