Sunday Morning Hiking Series
The Sunday Morning Hiking Series brings families from the Marin and the San Francisco Gauss Campus together for environmental hikes. The focus of these outings includes a social element as well as learning elements about ecology, geology, and human history. The Bay Area, rich with natural resources and outdoor recreational opportunities, provides an excellent backdrop for these outings.
Expanding adult and child relationships and increasing each person's awareness and understanding of the wider circle of Brandeis Hillel families enriches and strengthens our community even further."
Participating families create memorable shared experiences with their children and model the pursuit of healthy activities. Families who have joined us this fall on trails through the Marin Headlands, the Tennessee Valley, and Samuel P. Taylor State Park have made numerous wildlife sightings and participated in discussions of a wide range of stimulating topics. Equally noteworthy, students have demonstrated keen observation skills, logic, and critical thinking. Most of all, BHDS students show an insatiable curiosity for learning more about their surroundings.
