Faculty Spotlight

  • Faculty Spotlight on . . . Patty Davidovich, Middle School Math

Patty has been on the BHDS faculty for 14 years and currently teaches middle school mathematics in addition to serving as a 6th grade advisor. She has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in elementary education and psychology with a minor in communication, in addition to her master's in math education...and loves doing math in her free time! "Teaching math was not a planned path," she says. "I was surprised to find how many kids dislike the subject—especially because I always loved it! BHDS helped me finance my master's in math education and helped me realize my goal of fully delivering my love of the subject to my students. I enjoy teaching all levels but get the most enjoyment from teaching those who do not feel confident in the subject. My goal is to have them leave my classroom with a bit more confidence, and even with an enjoyment of the subject!"
