BHDS Pride in All Our Families

BHDS families marched next to other independent schools during the recent San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade, dedicated to LGBT education and celebration. With over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and more than a dozen community-run stages and venues, the event is the largest LGBT celebration in the country.
"It is so powerful for our students, faculty and staff to experience a reflection of themselves, their families or their friends and loved ones," said Bruce Werber, head of campus in San Francisco.
The parade brought together many LGBT and non-LGBT families.
"This is a great event for our kids to experience regardless of our family structure," said David Abusch Magder, Head of Middle School on our SF campus.
