Eighth Grade Tefillah: a Final BHDS Milestone

Posted June 7, 2012

Eighth graders led tefillah (service) for their last time as BHDS students this morning. The service was a reflection of their connection to Jewish prayer and community. Students introduced some new prayers, both personal and traditional; shared their writings on prayers with special significance; and summarized and interpreted the Torah portion through short skits.

To close the tefillah, the middle school faculty delivered a short recognition of each student’s gifts to our school and blessings for the future.

Thank you to Nehama Cohen, Dorit Israel, Jesse Scott, Beverly Pinto and the eighth grade parents for their dedication to this tefillah.
