Grade 6 Discovers Geometry Is All Around Them
Posted January 17, 2012
Our 6th graders discovered that our world contains thousands of geometric shapes, through the Geometric Scavenger Hunt Project, an assignment that asked them to recognize, identify and photograph multiple geometric shapes in everyday life. Students displayed their discoveries via final projects that included digital, poster and 3-D formats. "They'll never see the world in quite the same way again," said teacher Patty Davidovich. "This project really shows students how math is all around us in the tangible, visual world," she added.
