ecause of the Rim Fire this past fall, the 2013 Sukkot in Yosemite celebration has been postponed to 2014. We have activities planned for October 9–11, 2014. You are welcome to join in for all days, two days, one day…. whatever fits your family’s schedule. Typically families travel to Yosemite on the afternoon of October 8; October 12 is the travel day back home.
We last embarked on such a journey in 2010 with almost 700 participants from BHDS. Some of the unforgettable moments include impromptu campsite gatherings, Shabbat under the stars, playing music and singing, picnicking at the river, bicycle riding, and Havdallah at our group campsite. SEE PHOTOS
There will be a handful of organized school-wide events; grade events like dinners or breakfasts; and lots for families to do on their own. Please join for as much or as little as you like as we all come together in a beautiful place to celebrate holiday and community.
Accommodations: If you haven’t booked a reservation, you can do so online at www.yosemitepark.com and entering the group code, 14B0B1. The letters on the group code must be entered as capital letters in order for the group code to work. Additionally, you may book your reservation by filling out the individual reservation form and faxing it to 559-456-0542 or mailing it to 6771 N. Palm Ave. Fresno, CA 93704.
You will only be able to make reservations with the group code for October 8-12, 2014. Once you have booked your reservation, you can add nights before or after the group dates by calling 801-559-4932.
If you have already reserved your accommodations, kindly email Shannon Gutierrez (email@example.com) the name that your room is being held under, so that your family can be added to the BHDS total group count.
Parents need to be responsible for their children at all times.
