Marin Art 2011.jpg

Our students explore the visual arts in every grade, helping to foster the children’s self-confidence, creative spirit and self-expression.

Weekly art classes stimulate divergent thinking, awaken an aesthetic sense and appeal to the individuality of each child. Students create in the visual arts through painting, ceramics, woodworking, paper, weaving and sculpture.

Well-known artists are introduced to provide a foundation in art history and for an understanding of art and its techniques.

Our children visit Bay Area museums and art shows to enhance their appreciation of the creative world. We are proud that our students’ artwork has been selected to be exhibited at the Marin County Fair.

"They are so excited and engaged by this project, which really draws from our work using design thinking process," added Levy. PHOTOS

They also answered questions about their families to serve as descriptive text that answers the question: "Who is my mother, what is she like?" Other grades prepared special gifts for their mothers and parents as well, and in the process, contemplated the meaning of family and the feeling of gratitude.
