The school gives age-appropriate, hands-on, enriching technology opportunities to every student in the lower school.

  • First Grade Learns About Penguins

    Posted March 7, 2012

Our first grade students are learning all about penguins! "Our students simulated carrying a 'penguin egg' in a pouch and experimented with ice and bags of air to understand how feathers protect penguins," said Angeline Greenblat, first grade teacher. Students also researched the penguin type of their choice, wrote reports and then created a sketch of their penguin. "Then we integrated technology into our learning by creating an animation of their sketch," she added. Each student's segment was combined with segments from the rest of the class to create the class animation movie. SEE HERE!
