Lower School

The Lower School years are the building blocks for our Upper School and later high school. During this time, we develop a strong foundation in core academic subjects with an emphasis on writing and the development of conceptual understanding across the curriculum.

In addition to fostering academic skills, we are deeply committed to the social, spiritual, and physical growth of our students. As a radically kind community,we teach our children to develop compassion, tolerance and mutual respect for others.

We seek a balance between preparing our students for the academic expectations of middle school while maintaining a nurturing, caring atmosphere. After all, these are the years when we instill a love of learning. We encourage children to experience new frontiers as we expose them to art, music, drama, athletics, technology and more.

Interwoven throughout the curriculum is an emphasis on public speaking, singing, building community and appreciating the richness of the Jewish culture.

Overall, the curriculum is designed to help children develop their potential as thinking, feeling and caring individuals.

We look forward to sharing the exciting Lower School years with you.
