Mission
Our mission is to serve the Jewish community by providing children with an outstanding academic program in general and Judaic studies within a dynamic and diverse Jewish cultural environment.
Who We Are
Brandeis Hillel Day School (BHDS) is an independent co-educational school providing an outstanding academic education for children in grades kindergarten through eight. Brandeis Hillel students become accomplished, independent, creative and critical thinkers who develop a life-long love of learning. A low student to teacher ratio allows students individual attention and sets the foundation to build self-confidence within a nurturing environment.
Our teachers follow the best practices set by experience, a collaborative approach and the most recent findings in educational research. Brandeis Hillel teachers and administrators are engaged in ongoing and bring innovations, insights and best practices to bear as a result. Brandeis Hillel graduates are accepted into their top choice of high schools and go on to become leaders in our community and in the world.
Academics are just one of the high standards we set for ourselves. We believe that a solid educational foundation should encompass the whole child, including accomplishments in the arts as well as consideration for others. We donšt set the bar at achieving average kindness, but have set a standard for radical kindness; kindness that sets Brandeis Hillel apart from other school communities. Students and families are welcomed into a warm, open and diverse Jewish community, inclusive of all backgrounds, with shared values. The school recognizes and celebrates the uniqueness of each student and strives for the development of the whole child.
