Faculty

The Brandeis Hillel Day School faculty is dedicated to the education of the whole child and commits itself to excellence in academic teaching, supportive advisory programs, and diverse enrichment activities. Varied professional growth opportunities promote excellence in teaching. Curricular development is organic and ongoing, often driven by a response to student needs. Departments make a concerted effort to incorporate multicultural education in their curricula, and every teacher is also committed to the spiritual growth of the students. Many of our faculty have been with the school for over twenty years.

DeLeT: Day School Leadership Through Teaching
Founded in 2001, DeLeT ("door" in Hebrew) is a national initiative designed to bring new people through the doorway to day school teaching and leadership careers. DeLeT Fellows participate in extensive academic preparation at Brandeis University in Boston and Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. Fellows then gain practical training at affiliated day schools across the country and benefit from the guidance of mentor teachers. After three years, Fellows earn a teaching certificate and a master's degree. Brandeis Hillel is proud to be an affiliate school, with DeLeT Fellows working on each of its campuses and DeLeT graduates among its faculty.
